The Long Trek

Angela takes a picture of herself trying to catch the Wyoming State sign on the Interstate.

June 13-15: Waking up Thursday morning in Utah, we were in for three LONG days of driving!
   Interesting rock formations in Wyoming

It's easier to get a picture of a state sign when you can walk up to it.

            Runza. It's a Nebraska thing...

We took a quick detour from the Interstate so we could drive through a small corner of Colorado and say we were there.

We gave up trying to capture state signs from a moving vehicle. I've resorted to lifting them from the Internet.

The Who must have been traveling through Kansas when they wrote that song, "I Can See for Miles".

   "I don't think we're in Kansas anymore."

Debra, a friend of mine from my days in the singles ministry in California, lives with her husband near Tulsa. We met for lunch. It was great to reconnect and introduce spouses to each other.

By the time we arrived at Dale's place Saturday evening, we were pretty beat from traveling 2100 miles.

The next installment will chronicle our visit with Dale.

For now, blessings to y'all. Being just a few miles from the Texas and Arkansas borders, we're essentially in the South.
